Less than 6 months to go!!!!

Tonight we booked our FINAL wedding vendor!  How exciting is that?!?!  We have an amazing florist, Wendy Wright with A Beautiful Event, who is working so creatively with our budget!  We simply cannot wait for everyone to see her gorgeous creations combine with our DIY ideas!

We booked our videographer today!  We are using Jason Andre with Seven Season Films!  He has worked with some amazing photographers and videographers around Wilmington and has just started his own business. We are so excited to be a part of his beginning and know he has a great future in Wilmington!

Jason just ordered some samples of the groomsman's attire and as soon as we "approve" of that, the fellas will order their beach-wedding attire!  All of my fabulous bridesmaids have placed their orders for their dresses!  All the Mom's are on the hunt....and of course I found my dress in the first month!

We have officially started our wedding registries!  We are registered at Bed Bath and Beyond and doubled up on some of those items at Belk for my Southern Va family!  We are also requesting Lowes Home Improvement gift cards for our future home, so spread the word!  :-)

We have ordered our invitations, our napkins :-), and our wedding favors!  We are checking things off one piece at a time....each check is a step closer to July 28th!!!

On an even more exciting note, Jason and I are in our 4th week of Marriage Mentoring.  We have an amazing couple that are our mentors...we totally see ourselves in them!  It's amazing how God pairs us up with the right people.  We are so excited about our future together and are so appreciative of the opportunities this small group series has provided for us.  We are getting closer as a couple, and even closer as a couple in a relationship with God.

We love our family and friends...we are so blessed!  Thank you all for your support of our relationship, your friendship, your laughter....wow, I guess I'm pretty sentimental today.  Anyway...we love you guys!

The year is here! 2012!!!

So here we go!  2012 is here and Jason and I had the opportunity to bring in the New Year together in Myrtle Beach thanks to my wonderful sister and brother-in-law who generously gave us a night at their timeshare.  We had a wonderful time and found it very excited that this was the last time we would ring in the New Year without sharing the same last name.  :-)

We have made more progress with planning as well!

My sister, Mom and I went to A Carolina Wedding and had a blast trying on about 20 different bridesmaids dresses that were about 6 sizes to small!  :-)  However, we found three dresses that we all loved! I am excited to have similar, but different style dresses.

We just committed to a caterer today which is a HUGE stress relief!  Jason spoke with a nurse friend of his who said that she heard Sweet & Savory did similar catering to Pine Valley Market which we loved.  Sweet and Savory is delicious, so we gave it a shot and WOW were we surprised about the price.  Cheaper, menu sounds delicious, and the caterer was just as personable.  Sold!  We asked for a contract today.

We got to see our DJ in action December 17th at Beth's graduation party...which also happened to be at the marina where we will be married.  We loved him!  I contacted him soon after and we are good to go!  PS- be ready for a few hours of karaoke on Friday at the rehearsal!!!

We blocked off rooms at the Best Western Plus in Wilmington. They hotel is nice, close to the beach, and close to the marina.  Rooms are $119 a night and under Underwood/Roy Wedding.  :-) http://bestwesternnorthcarolina.com/hotels/best-western-plus-wilmington-inn

Nicole and I will be meeting with a florist hopefully next week and that is the LAST vendor!!!  Yeah!!!  Unless of course we get a videographer...which we do both want, but we were waiting to get all the other costs first to see if we could afford it.  Fingers crossed!

On the future home-front, we are working to prepare Jason's house to go on the market.  In a perfect world it would sell quickly so that we can buy one of these amazing homes that we've been browsing...however...we are realistic in that it could take much, much, much longer in this market.  Whatever is supposed to happen will happen...we are just excited that we will be sharing a home a few short months!

205 days to go!!!
